Employee Engagement Initiative

There is no doubt that companies whose employees are strongly committed to their work tend also to have satisfied clients.

KDC will undertake an Employee Engagement Initiative on behalf of a client when the client feels that the lines of communication between their managers and staff are not as strong as they could be, that staff are not perhaps fully engaged with their work and that, as a result, client service levels may not be optimal. KDC operates as the independent third party, listening to views and opinions, wants and needs, and marshalling feedback into an objective debrief.

The typical circumstances in which a study like this is requested are when a company is going through a period of change. This might be the result of organic growth or a by-product of merger, acquisition or integration process. This is now very common in the research industry. Change almost always brings opportunity but can feel very uncomfortable for those who feel that their destiny is somehow outside their control. The senior managers involved will have sensed that they may be out of touch with how their employees are feeling about their changing environment and are worried that their teams might not be pulling together well enough to do their best for their clients.

The KDC team uses a flexible approach in designing an EEI but typically it will include a combination of depth interviews, creative workshops and personal journals. The team is uniquely qualified to carry out such studies. With experience and qualifications that range from Fellowship of the MRS and board directorships, through to Counselling Practice and Edward de Bono's Lateral Thinking techniques, sensitivity, confidentiality and discretion are all guaranteed.
